Time to give the old girl a new mohair lid methinks. The old one is starting to leak and looking a bit faded.

So... recommendations for supply and fit? (I'm not up for doing it myself). Often in the south east (Gatwick) and would want them to come to me.

I also bought my new mohair hood from carhoods direct for £290.00 but I fitted it myself, took me a day and was a little fiddly but not too difficult to do:)

I had my hood fitted by http://www.carhoodsdirect.co.uk/

I was happy with the work and it was done in an hour or so.

It was fitted in my works car park. I think they are in Kent so not that far from you.
I went for a black Mohair hood. It looks more classy but it takes a bit more looking after.

FYI You dont get new hood rubbers with the hood. If your window rubbers are shot you will need to replace them yourself.

When I said it took me a day, that included coffee breaks (numerous), elevenses, lunch, tiffin, standing back to look at my handiwork etc etc, you get my drift:D :D

Most definitely:D In fact today I have stuck two new number plates on, a standard rear one with the GB bit to the left but a small Italian style one on the front like I had on my Coupe as in the avatar. Now I know it MAY be illegal but hey! I was never pulled in the coupe and you do see plenty of "supercars" with small number plates, very often offset to one side of the car so I thought I would take my chances and it looks so much better than a big 'un:D

In a Jeremy Clarkson voice *you chose the wrong colour mate* :p

Got mine from germany for £220 inc delivery and fitted it myself for which there are plenty of guides on this & the doc's site and is relatively easy as said.

Cheers folks... a few good suggestions there. I'm still very wary of DIY so I'm gonna call the carhoodsdirect people and get a quote!

Hi I got a red mohair from car hoods direct too-fitted it my self-really easy and if you buy the fiat barchetta cd off ebay it gives step by step instructions-it really is a doddle-all you need is a morning and a bit of evostick!
My cables that run through had rusted so i got a couple of stainless steel ones made up by the lads a halfords £1 for bike cables! Must get round to posting some piccies of it but its identical to orangepeels!

Any chance you could rip the Barchetta CD's you got from Ebay and upload them somewhere so that us other owners can download it?

Cheeky I know...
