Hi, I recently purchased a 1979 Fiat Spider and am looking at fixing up some of the exterior components. The side view mirror on the passenger side has lost its ability to hold a position. Plus, I am not sure it is the original mirror as it doesn't match the driver's side from an aesthetic viewpoint (very flat and tapered).

Anyone have any suggestions for good replacement side view mirrors? I have seen some metal ones that look pretty nice. Also, the driver's side mirror has an internal adjustment knob that isn't currently working, but would like to fix and keep with the new mirror I buy.

Thank you in advance!

Look for OEM used mirrors or period‑correct metal aftermarket mirrors that match the Spider door mounting. That will give you the best look, proper function, and ease of installation. Once you have a matching pair, you can also fix the driver’s internal adjuster so both sides work and look right.
Yes, if you have any specific ones you have tried out (and liked) would love those recommendations. Thank you!
