Starting to wind me up, anyone got idea of fault/cost cheers (de-mist button lights up but nobody in), also got the ticking rear wiper fault,,, ahhh wouldnt be a fiat without a few probs

i'm trying to connect the two faults, but i cant think why both should pack up together.
could be the heaters relay, dont know where its locted though.

normally if the rear demister isn't working it is because you have caught the track somewhere and it can't make a circuit. If you have a volt meter have a prod around starting at where the demister wires come in.

Check the connections in the boot lid/boot lip.
If both things on the tailgate stopped working I would check that. Make sure they're clean and making a good connection.

yes check the connections on the boot lid on left hand side also ones on the boot floor you will probably find them a little melted

I have a button in my car, that when pressed - it stpos raining/snowing etc so there's no need for a demister.

This button is only available to those who don't take themselves seriously and/or think that Fiats are relaible.
Sorry, you could try and modify a Honda/Mitsubishi/Mazda or Nissan button. They're reliable.

Left hand side connector burn't out
I had the same problem with my own Brava. The connector had overheated (probably from a short)and the plastic casing had melted.
You'll probably need both the top and bottom connectors and these set me back €38 in total so it'll probably only cost you £25
