Rear Suspension Noise

Hi

Just lookin for some advice, been gettin some noise coming from the rear of my car for about 2 months now but kinda ignored it for a while but recently its been gettin louder and worse. I have been informed that the noise is most likely my rear suspension bushes which have gone. The noise sounds like grinding of some sort and happens mainly when im pulling away or when im gettin in/out of the car, the cars lowered 35mm all round but it was makin this noise prior to lowering took place.

Anybody got any ideas what the noises are and how much it shall cost to get it repaired?

I think it will probably just be the bushes!

If it had been a Mk1 I'd have said the rear Trailing arms need replacing as well...but I don't know if thats an issue on the Mk2 like it is the Mk1! :?

cheers, all sounds expensive though, anybody with an mk2 got any ideas with regards to cost - think this might have to be a christmas present

you checked your rear brakes?? if its happenin on pulling away and gettin in and out of the car it could be something to do with your rear brakes. maybe worth gettin looked at before forking out gettin new rear bushes, not sure on cost i'm afraid

Bushes aren't expensive AFAIK...and from what I remember is something you can do yourself! :?

jack your car up pull ur wheel from side to side then up and down, find where it's comin from if bushes got to the HOW TO SECTION for my guide

Once again, anybody with an mk2 punto done this... deffo need it done like this week so i guess ill need to go visit the fiat monkeys.....

So if anybody has anything it would be appreciated.

but if u got new suspension all round surely the bushes were changed?

i had a problem with a rear suspension bush, cost me £60 for the bush+labour not so good

if its just lowered on springs then they leave the origional bushes, i think.

i had to order the bush from spax through halfords as they wouldnt allow me to buy directly. pretty much got it fitted for free.

remember we dont all know our way round cars and have acess to parts suppliers

I am havin problems gettin my bushes as the retard at the fiat centre didnt have any idea what my mate was talkin about when he called up to order the parts, so kinda not bothered my arse with it although i really need to asap.
