Styling Rear Mk2 Spoiler

Hey All,

Anyone know of a spoiler that looks good on a Mk2 Sporting but not over the top? I obviously have the one that comes with the Mk2 Sporting but it is a bit too small for me.

i have a black mk 2 sporting and i have the spoiler from modworld on mine it looks great would suit yours a treat as the spoiler is not too in yer face but still very eyecatching

Are you planning on leaving the existing spoiler fitted? Just asking because apparently the back windscreen is drilled through to hold the spoiler on.........

Thanks for the link, thats not cheaper than the other site though, in fact its £5 more for the spoiler and £23.50 (minimum) more for delivery. The other site was offering free delivery.

I hope your not right wolfrace! Can anyone deny or confirm his comment about the spoiler being attached to the back window. I really don't want to have to leave it fitted.

Okay confusion is setting in. I am unable to tell if the current spoiler attaches through the back window, but it looks like it goes through the back window into the high level brakelight arrangement in the car. It looks like i have to leave the current spoiler there and just fit the new one as well. What did you do bubblegum? How did you fit the new spoiler as I thought it would be fitted using the holes left by the previous spoiler?

took the car to a guy i know and left it with him the original roof spoiler was removed and replaced with the other he didnt mention any problems.hope this helps a bit

So you don't have any holes in your rear window? Have you got any pics of it yet? I want to buy the spoiler but I don't want to buy it until I know for definate that I can safely remove the old one.

Checked the car this morning and the spoiler is bolted on through the rear window. How are the holes covered on yours? I am sure they didn't just leave holes there. Did they just use plugs?

he just used hard black rubber plugs with smooth flat heads.where my rear window is tinted they blend in really well.all i can say is he's a very clever guy!i'm well chuffed with it.

Well I bought the spoiler today and will receive it within 6 weeks, can't wait

Don't suppose you could find out where he got the plugs from?
