Hi, I have a Auto Trail Expedition 66 (Fiat Ducato 8, 2022 model). The rear fog lights have stopped working. I get the amber light bulb warning then an Icon showing the rear lamp cluster pointing to the near side. I have replaced the bulbs but problem still persists. I have phoned the dealer and his Tech guy advised it will need to be returned to Fiat Professional to have a look as their is no fuse for the rear fog lights, apparently it is fed direct from a central module ! Anyone had same issue ?

If you have a tow bar / towing lighting socket disconnect any adapter plugged into towing socket

As it's so new and under warrantee don't touch it yourself or that may be used as an excuse not to honour warrantee.
Return it to the dealer for them to sort out.

Hi Stuch

As your vehicle is a panel van conversion, the wiring to the rear lights will be as per the Fiat factory fit, i.e. the motorhome converter will not have changed it. Each rear cluster has an individual fog light feed wire from the Body Control Module (BCM) under the dashboard. There is one plug/socket connection in these wires, this is done to make front/rear loom assembly easier in the factory. The BCM monitors bulb current, and will give a warning if the current is higher or lower than it should be.

Most rear light problems can be traced to a corroded connector on the cluster, or a poor earth to the body (there is only one for each side, serving all the lights in the cluster). However it is extremely unlikely that this is the cause on such a new vehicle, unless you have had a water leak.

Hi, many thanks for the explanation. I have checked the rear cluster and it is bone dry. As yet I've not checked security of sockets or any earth under the dash. I did wiggle around the wires in the void for the rear light clusters to see if any loose cable may through up something but nothing changed. Thanks again.

The feed for each lamp in the BCM has a re-settable 'fuse' which will only reset once the fault has been cleared. Have you checked for a short to ground on the effected lamp supply?

Hi, No I have not. thanks for the suggestion Will have a look over the next couple of days.

I firmly suggest leaving it well alone.
It is a new vehicle that Fiat professional will be looking at. If fiat see you have attempted any diagnosis or repair ................ you could end up with no warranty on the whole vehicle.
