HI I had to change the Rear brake shoes on my 1994-1999 Fiat Ducato 10 Panel Van and normally the hard part is putting in the New Retaining Pins, Springs & Top Hat Washers. However by taking my time I came up with a neat trick for getting the shoe retaining washer to locate on the retaining pin lugs without the usual cursing about compressing the retaining springs etc.
Two Very Small sacrificial cables ties placed and tightened down opposite each other. Use these to compress the spring place it over the pin locate the Washer on top then just cut and remove the cable ties.
It works a treat no need for expensive spring compression pliers
Just thought I would share this with everyone as they can be a real pain to put on
