Hi Guys,

Our Bravo 150TJet is due for rear pads and discs, is it possible to make arewind tool to wind the pistons back in?

I've seen that there are various rewind tools available on the market at avast range of prices from tens of pounds to hundreds of pounds but I waswondering if it's possible to make a tool...had anyone made their own rewindtool...if not can some help identify the most suitable tool from the vast arrayavailable.

Many thanks in advanced for your help

Chris

Hi David,

Many thanks for your reply, it is greatly appreciated. I had read on herethat the NSR caliper was a left hand thread which is a pain as it means twotools :bang:

I'll have a look on the net, as you say plenty of tools available, but is abit of a mind field when it comes to knowing if they are the correct ones whenmost descriptions say things like "will fit most European cars includingFiat"...logic says that it "should" be ok but knowing my luckthey won't be :bang:

I had a lot of trouble getting the correct parts when I replaced the front discsand pads as I kept getting sent the 120BHP brakes and they were a tad toosmall...found out that the supplier had the parts for the 150T-Jet listed asAlfa parts and not Fiat :bang:…hopefullysourcing the rears will be a bit more straight forward (y)

Cheers

Chris

Hopefully something in HERE will fit (y)

i changed my rear brake pads yesterday. i used a normal rewind tool, was a bit fiddly on the reverse side but got it eventually. The pads i fitted said they fitted the 1.4 90hp, 1.4 turbo and the 1.9 turbo. I got cheap EBC ones from ebay for £14 and theyre not bad.

I believe (hope) that the rear discs and pads are the same across the range...the fronts however are a little different...even the 120T-Jet and 150 T-Jet don't share the same parts...the 1.4, 1.4 T-Jet 120 and 1.4 T-Jet 150 all have differnet size discs and pads...
