Technical rear brake light not working

hi guys,

im new to this forum and ive just bought a seicento s for my first car!

having alook around it today and noticed that the rear brake lights don't work, I check the buld and that's fine just isn't lighting up when I put it into reverse any ideas what it could be?

I'm confused, so your brake lights dont work, or they work but not in reverse, or it's just your reverse light that doesn't work

sorry I completely miss spelt the whole thread there!! I meant reverse light not brake lights :bang:

I'd check the switch on the gearbox then. Locate it, disconnect the plug and short it with a piece of wire and your reverse light should come on if the fault is with the switch

Connector faces forward -- front top of ye gearbox.
