Rear brake hose query, any suggestions??

Hi Folks,

Just wondered if I could fit flexible brake hoses from another Fiat to my Sei? Whilst reconditioning the rear axle, radius arms etc, I noticed that the rear hoses are really quite grim, (hose fine, but ends corroded). As I see it I've got two options - scrub up the ends and paint them, or change the hoses completely.

What are your thoughts??

It seems plausible to me that there must be a multitude of different cars that share the same hose details??

Anyone got any ideas???

You, me and every other motorist in the world - apart from those working at the top of the motor industry who firmly believe that they need to use something just marginally different from all the rest that there can be little, if any, swapping bits.
It's a bit of a joke when you consider that every car is, basically, a collection of the same bits - engine, gearbox, 4 wheels, brakes etc and yet each model will have a different sized something or other than other models from a maker. Surely, when you go into the shop and ask for spark plugs, the only choices should be over brand?
