Re HELP..!!!!Smell of petrol/fumes

Hiya

Can anyone possibly point me in the right direction...i seem to be getting a STRONG smell of petrol/fumes while im driving along.......its been happening for a few weeks......i cannot drive with my window down as the fumes give me headache!!!!...my car is a Fiat Brava 1.6 p/97....72k....it must be coming from the front as i smell it while driving as well as when stationary.......

ANYONE else ever had or know of this problem??

What are the options......could it be manifold??...exhaust???..im not very technical and would like your opinions before i take it to Fiat and let them charge me the earth!!!!

Most likely a holed exhaust. Take it to kwik fit and let them shaft you over instead

I think kwik fit can do you one for not much more than £100ish but from my experience with them it will rattle and clunk and rust through in the first rain shower

Take it to kwik fit and just get them to do an inspection, no point speculating on cost until you know the fault.
