Fitted springs a few weeks ago and when i go over rough ground i get clunks and rattles. I was told that there would be some weird noises at first, but they would wear off.

Should they be doing it and does ne1 else get noises like this?

bout a week, have u changed the shocks aswell??

i think is cause the springs arent fixed they turn, spin and move until they settled in, it took bout a week, i think your suppose to leave them a bit so they settle anyway

I've got the G-Max springs on mine, -35mm. They rattle like hell, been on a good 6 weeks as well now, gonna take it in this week, see what the problem is. You're not alone Wolfrace!!!

If you have fitted springs with original shocks then you will have this problem, the shocks have a longer travel on the ram arm than the springs want to allow for hence the banging and ratteling, the best thing is to fit uprated shocks as well, we sell all the makes, koni, spax, gmax etc u need a set of uprated lowering shocks with a shortened ram arm

PTI Motorsport, when I upgraded to the Eibach springs the literature that came in the box said, "there is no need to upgrade the shocks, Eibach springs are designed to work with the standard shocks".

Mine was the 30mm lowering kit, I know the do the pro-kit which is 50mm, maybe for those you do but not mine! [8D]

i think the limit for lowering with ur standard shocks is about 30-40mm but ideally u should get some proper uprated sport shocks to sort out the ride quality and the nasty banging noises

I did a lot of research before buying springs and shocks and from folk in the know they all told me Gmax were rubbish so this is my only answer to the rattly noises, it's not a dig at anyone who has purchased them just a general opinion that I'm sure others would share. Just to let you's know I considered the kit cos I didn't have much money at the time but after hearing that they weren't the best and also that my Mechanic would refuse to fit them for me I bit the bullet and shelled out for adj. shocks (Spax) and Eibach Springs (-25mm) shocks were £250 and springs were £130 but it appears not to look different from the outside but boy does it handle, well worth it I know see.

You can lower it 50 mm just fine on the orginal shocks!

Thats on a Sporting though, might be different :I
