Technical rapid clicking when attempting to crank

now it won't turn over, it just clicks loudly and rapidly at me. what is it saying to me?

loud clicking = dodgy starter solenoid? where abouts is it coming from?

sounds like the starter solenoid.

might be battery, it's on charge now. it didnt slow at all before it started clicking.

we're approaching final straws here..

The starter could be jammed... get someone to turn it over (attempt to) while hitting the starter with a rubber mallet. It could also be a bad connection.

Switch your headlamps on. Try to start car. If lights go off, battery needs charged.

i left it on charge. i can't roll it back and forth, still on stands. i was tempted to kick it off the stands though.

when i left my screens on my battery went flat, when trying to start all i got was a rapid clicking thrown back at me. i stuck it on charge for 10 minutes, all was well

just popped into the garage, and turned the key and it cranked over.

its been on charge all night, so its either that or it's just had time to think about what it's done!

Any idea what drained it? Seems weird if it was ok previously?

the constant cranking trying to get to trace a trigger fault on the coil packs. the battery is huge, but has not yet been charged from a running engine only trickle charged - so i'm guessing it gave up a little early.

or i overheated the starter/solenoid.
