Does any one else go though this at least once every few months.
The panda has gone though being relitivly reliable to a complete ass, resulting in me peeing around with tools at the side of the road today to limp it home.

Its dark, snowing and then the bonnet catch snapped to really cheer me up.

Im finding it hard not to wave the white flag, put it up for sale as a project and walk away.

Yeah I get like that sometimes, but I am in the fortunate position that if my panda isn't capable of getting me to work I don't work far from home so I can bus it to work If I have to.

The thing a lot of people do (I imagine) is get rid of their older (and simpler) cars and getting a newer and "more reliable" car. The parts for your car and work required to sort it will be much less than the cost of a new car. This is because parts for our cars are (generally speaking) relatively cheap. And if the newer car has a problem its parts on a like for like basis will normally be more expensive. (Again generally speaking) also newer cars have more parts, and more sensors and mcgubbins to go wrong, so they are like for like more likely to to break down.

This is all just my opinion though, it can be really frustrating but we always work through it for the love of our little cars.

I have 3 other cars to use if it lets me down, I don't need the panda, I wanted it. I spent so much time and blood on it and it just pays me back by being a knob the one time I wanted to use it .
I think its carb related but I'm done looking at it this week. Almost at the point of just paying some one else to look at it.

You're in the perfect possition, if its misbehaving lock it in the naught garage for a month or two and return once you're willing to forgive (y)

It's what I do :)

Snow.... Is it the carb icing up? Did it slowly start dying, just staying alive by giving loads of choke before cutting out altogether, then did it start as if nothing had happened a couple of minutes later?
