Randomly flashing hazards

I’ve recently purchased a 2009 Fiat 1.4 litre Tjet. Today whilst driving, my indicators started flashing for no reason. They flash twice then stop for a while then start again. If I drive the car and lock it from the inside it seems to stop, but I’m not sure why it is doing this or how it has started.

Has anyone had this before or any ideas what it could be? Thank you.

It does sound as if this is alarm.. or RCL Fob related.

Maybe use your basic service key.. and see if it behaves.

Another option is to plug into the OBD port.. but I would rule out the key fob triggering this effect rather than the car itself
