On two occasions recently the engine management warning light has come on. Both were during journeys on motorways to deliver our kids to Uni/Airports:
The 1st trip after 100 miles - near the M1 end of the journey, the car lost power but would still rev above 3,000. Then after 20 minutes pottering around town (Leicester) all the power returned and the light extinguished itself.

Stayed fine until -
Trip to Luton airport at dawn. After 60 miles, again on the M1 motorway, bong, light on. This time NO power loss WHATSOEVER, no warning message, but light stayed on all the way home too.

A day later, still on, drove off, low speed local trip, light went OFF.
Both those trips were long and at high speed, what's going on? Pottering around it's fine.

86K on the odometer, Lexia reports additive system "no faults"

Do I a) defap/remap or b) fit new fap?

TIA!

hi there, I have a similar problem does this sound familiar-when running with engine at a constant 2000 revs (on motorway mostly) engine warning light comes on and display says anti polution fault.
I believe its the accelerator position sensor (potentiometer), guess the potentiometer is worn in that position (60 in 5th etc) ecu see's errors and counts them after a number of errors it flags a fault!
One question, where is the accelerator sensor! and how do I get at!
Getting a bit fed up with avoiding 2000 revs!

I hadn't thought of that - and I'm not sure where the sensor is... But if it's related to 2,000 rpm does it only occur in 5th? I'm thinking EGR valve, personally. On the Ulysse it's buried over the back of the engine, which is why the new one I have is sitting in the garage not installed on the car!
