hi put a new radio/cd in van works ok but wont hold any stations do i have to put a link somwhere

I presume you used the original plugs!. In the wireing you have a permenent live feed that holds the memory, and a switched live feed from the ignition that works the radio. Identify those 2 wires and swap them round in the plug. Its not an unusual problem as some vehicles are built with these wires in reverse order (vag)
