Hi, I bought a new radio (head unit, stereo, whatever) this past weekend. This is my first car, so I'm not too savvy with all this stuff yet, but basically after taking the stock (Blaupunkt) radio out, I found the stock loom was wired up differently to the iso adapter that came with said radio. Anyway, I've moved the red lead in the adaptor to what I believe is the corresponding pin in the cars loom, and the thing turns on. But only when the car is completely off ie. Engine off, keys not turned in ignition. When I turn the keys, the radio turns off, and wont come on again until I turn it back off. Could this just be that it's wired into a running circuit backwards and its got some sort of diode etc in it? I've tried flipping the red and yellow wires on the adaptor, but this just meant it wouldnt turn on at all. Has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it? Thanks, if I've been unclear just tell me and I'll try to be more specific.
