Hey folks, I'm now the owner of a Fiat Punto Mk2 (2001), good little car, got it for £200 and after a new battery and a couple of other fixes it passed it's MOT however the radio needs something doing to it. I'm fairly competent with wiring and stuff in general just never touched car electronics.
It's an aftermarket radio/cd player (Sendai CD688) and several things with it that probably mean it needs replacing.
1: CD's jump/skip if you accelerate too hard or speed bumps etc it skips/jumps the CD
2: The volume dial is... Broke...? It works if you know how to turn it if not it might turn up, might turn the volume down
3: Only radio station I can seem to pick up is 88.7FM... No other station exists apparently.
Next payday in about a month I plan on getting something I can either connect my phone to (HTC one) or at least aux port.
Any advice you guys have would be good, certainly to fix the radio for now.
