Technical radio/cd/mp3

Will all radio/cd/mp3 combinations from any mark 2 fit into any mark 2?
Have heard something about a "cardbus"!!

i belive all mk2 will fit mk2 but radios from mk2.5 ( larger headlights) wont fit a mk2.

hopefully someone else coudl back me up on this.???
