hi friends
i read this forum a lot and never posted before.i own a grande punto diesel with 1248cc engine 75hp from india. recently i changed coolant of my car and then only i realised that the radiator cooling fan is not working at high speed. my observations are as follows
1. ac does blow bot hot and cold air when needed. its a manual ac
2.the engine teperature gauge move as usual and stay at halfway always
3. bot the relay t06 and t07 were removed and checked with applying 12v and they work fine.
4.there is coolant in the reservoir at max mark.
5. no alarm from ecu
please pour in your suggestions as there is no fiat service is nearby and i need to do the job in a private garage.thanks in advance and excuse my english

Puntomid,
Am presuming you mean the fan doesn't work when you are driving at high speeds OR are you saying that the fan doesn't revolve at high speeds when standing still? Need to clarify. As said by last poster fan doesn't usually need to turn when you are driving normally as air flowing through onto the radiator usually cools it enough.

When you are sitting idling is when the fan should start turning. Does it?
What type of coolant did you use in your replacement?

Need more information and clarity but I don't really think you have a problem unless the fan itself is having problems turning.

<p>I used paraflu up coolant and the fan turns on with ac.but when ac is off car is at idle for long time fan does not turn(like stuck in traffic) Engine overheats but the temp gauge is at middle.by high speed I mean my fan has two settings.low speed fan for ac and high speed for engine overheating
