Here's what he said...i don't think he'd mind me posting it here
"Thanks for your enquiry, the cars registration lists the vehicle as a
Fiat Uno Fire. The original engine although rumoured to be
indestructible did start knocking a piston into the head, so a
transplant motor and gearbox from a damaged Fiat Uno70sl was more cost
effective than reconditioning the original engine. This upgrade also
raised the cc rating from 999 to 1301.
Yes , (from a 70sl) dashboard, complete steering, engine mount, exhaust system, petrol tank, windscreen wiper motor, gear shift linkages, interior roof liner with clock the complete front suspension with hubs and disk brakes. Complete 70sl wiring loom. To cut a long story short the Uno 45 fire body has had a complete Uno 70sl running gear refit, very easy to do as all the Fiat Uno panels have been manufactured for any configuration of models in the engine bay, the engine mount bolt up holes and welded nuts are there for all engines. I like the 3 door models as they are easier to get in and out of with longer doors and more leg room."
Whew what a job. I suppose the suspension transplant was necessary as it would have been unsafe with the extra weight and original suspension?
