Quick Help-Printer

Hi,
Just got a quick question,

Today I went round to a friends and installed some printer drivers from the HP website so that he could use his printer but after it all configured properly, I tried printing and it worked fine but printed just blank sheets!
I tried printing a test page also but it was just blank, I looked at ink cartridges and they had expired and appeared quite old, so I was wondering do I need to get him to get some new one's or could it be a problem elsewhere?
Printer is a HP PSC 1317 all in one if that helps.

Your right it could be ink cartridges or it could be something else

Try new ink first. If its not that then its probably cheaper just to replace the printer than repairing it.

With some printers it's cheaper to replace the printer than the inks :bang::bang:

You're not kidding! I'm looking to buy a colour laser printer (about £99) and a full set of replacement cartridges for it is £240!!!!!

I paid £250 roughly for my laser, then got crafty for my spare toners, good old fleabay is handy for spares (spare machines which then get cannabalised)
