Tuning questions for those who have moved their gear linkages inside

As above,

Where have you made the hole to pass the cables back through to the engine bay?

How have you sealed these/it to the satisfaction of scroots?

Probably best to find out from John(NItrane) as his car has passed Scroots, but we haven't sealed ours yet, but will do at some time was going to use a sealant like Tiger seal to fill it out though we cut holes so the cables just passed through and no more.

I always wondered this.
My plan was to buy some of them grommets and see if i can stretch them over the end (if that fails cut and glue.)

Im told it should be fine.

I shortened the gear linkages on the gearbox and got a 40% reduction in throw without cutting down the lever or bringing the whole shifter assembly inside the car.

I didnt need to!

I took the two arms off the top of the gearbox. Cut them and shortened them!

Too me half an hour and works a treat.

No messing with moving the shifter assembly, no need to make new holes, no hassle, just really short shift!!!!!

Ah, I see.

I want the lever closer to hand and want it away from under the car to reduce the chance of impact damage.
