If it's just a fresher engine you want (or something a little faster, more driveable) then a Punto 60 engine is probably the way to go: very easy swap. Otherwise, SPI head, MPI block and bottom end, skim, re-shim, cut in the valves, etc. while you're at it. Plenty of P75 (early MPI) engines have been fitted, too.
As intimated, there's not really any point in going MPI on the 1108 unless you're turboing it or building a screaming 1108 (expensive) in which case you could even convert the SPI manifold to MPI by welding a set of injector stubs on the inlet mani and run an aftermarket ECU.
