General question about uno's

hi, im from the cinquecento forums....was just wondering what types of engine there are that unos can have, can you get a 1.6 turbo uno? thanks

First generation Uno - 1983-1990: (3dr hatch 'Uno 45' 0.9-litre [Formula] / 3dr and 5dr hatch 'Uno 45' 1.0-litre [FIRE 45, FIRE 45S] / 3dr and 5dr hatch 'Uno 60' 1.1-litre [60, 60S, Selecta] / 3dr and 5dr hatch 'Uno 70' 1.3-litre [SX, Turbo] / 3dr and 5dr hatch 'Uno Diesel' 1.7-litre [DS] ).

i think thats a fairly good cover of them, alex, chas, etc, any significant ones missed?

you cant get a 1.6 uno turbo as standard BUT you can make one using the 1.6tipo bottom end and the uno turbo head

The 1.4 is plenty quick enough though

Jai has it on the button. That's what's available as standard.

Using an X1/9, Strada or Delta 1.5 ohc engine as a base you can also make a 1.5 turbo. This is pretty much the same engine as the 1.6 Tipo anyway.

The 1.3 and 1.4 engines can be wound up to 150bhp quite easily. That makes them more than fast enough and able to see off many a modern car.
