Technical Question about speakers

I have a 2002 mk2 punto and recently changed the head unit. I would like to replace the front speakers and have found a JBL pair online for that, im wondering though weather i would need to also replace the tweeters as well?

Not necessarily but if your looking for a whole better sound in the front it would make sense, you could get a set of JBL components that would include front speakers and tweeters together.

TBH its upto you but if your going to spend £60 you may as well spend £20 more and get the set

Remember mk2s have shallow mounts aswell, so unless your gunna build a baffle yourself , you'll need speakers with a mounting depth of under 54mm iirc

i have jbl gto's in mine
the mid bass fits fine but you have to wedge the tweeter in place as its alot bigger than the standard one
