The tailgate on my QUBO won’t open with the key. I can only now open it from the inside.
When pressing the key, I can hear the faint electric ‘click’.
I’ve searched online and can’t find anything specific, other than a video of how to fix a stuck tailgate switch on a Fiat 500. Useful though, as the general instructions are applicable, and even a total technophobe as myself could manage it.
I did attempt to remove the plastic interior panel, to some success, but was hesitant to remove completely without the relevant tool. So gave up on that score.
The video I looked at, says that the pin behind the handle may be stuck (rusty), and all it would need would be to expose that and spray it with WD40, let it soak in, then test it, and put it back together.
I’m confident that I can do that if that’s what it is (once I get the appropriate panel removal tool)…
My question is, if I can hear the faint ‘click’ when pressing the key fob, is the pin stuck? Or is the message not getting down to the lock it self. Or something else.
