Put us down for 2 more diffs to get this going, so 3 in total hopefully push us towards the 20 needed for good price, so if Nigel RallyCinq and we add 2 more each that's 18 if I count it correct. I'll get cheque off to you next few days.

Aaron.

Thanks Aaron. You are indeed a star. I'm sure if you keep hold of them for a couple of weeks following delivery, you'll make some money...remember the E-mail from Germany. The guy couldn't get the cash up together to buy 10, and at the £750 plus price Quaife have quoted, I can't see them making many more, if any at all.

So....Now we have 18 sold thanks to some generosity from some bloody nice blokes!!!

COME ON......JUST TWO MORE TO GO!!!!

£135 Deposit gets you in, and they wont be ready for a couple of months, so you've got time to save. If you miss this now, you may never get the opportunity to get a Quaife diff for your Fire box again???

( Yes, you can imagine I'm stood on a Market stall shouting that last paragraph)

There's some real forum spirit going on here and I wish I could be part of it. (y)

If they were half the price is could justify it, however;

1) My car is physically a heap and worth screw all
2) I don't use my heap.

Good luck guys and I *may* be one of those ones to fight over the spare ones pending on the reviews.

Strange question but how much do these weigh?

just asking as to keep with the forum spirit displayed (although I can't afford to buy more than 1) and maybe get some more people on board

I do travel quite a lot in Europe with my job, so could possibly offer a lower price delivery alternative to places that i visit often such as Katowice in Poland, Northen Switzerland, Zurich/German Swiss border, Bucharest or Rotterdam. it would have to be collection from my hotel and I would not be that flexible on dates but it could save some people a good few Euros if that helps to tip the scales

lol i cant even afford one  BUT im gonna get selling junk and live on rations for a month or so :(

ive told as many people i can who might be interested

me and dad are stripping my spare(just pmed the person i got it from and it is a cento box) so will make a guide with loads of pics to try help anyone who aint dived into a box, fit these.

Ill probably collect my diff from Nigel (if thats ok) and if anyone wants me to collect theres im willing to do that for those who live around the midlands (kritip?) that is unless someones aready planned a collection ;)

The deposit goes to you? and then the final payment, so you pay quaife direct for all of us?

Or do we settle direct with Quafie? If so do they take credit cards? (thinking of possibly two)

Kristian

You are right Kris, the deposit is paid to me, and the balance will be paid to me on or before collection/delivery. You can pay with a credit card on paypal, but remember to add the extra charges, so that I'm not out of pocket.

Why would you want two anyway???

I for one would be interested to see the Diff from that Box, as I'm sure that all cento box's are bolt on crownwheels??

If you want to collect, you're more than welcome.

Intrigued by thread and would be keen to participate if someone (e.g. Nigel) could help me overcome my lack of mechanical experience and facilities when it comes to fitting ? How long would it take to fit to a 100HP ?

Thks for your advice,

Brett.

cracked open first "cinq" box :(

on positive note the diff is SO easy to remove. there is 12bolts. 4 of each size. there is NO way to mess anything up.

numbers I can find.

Diff housing/casing/shell/lowest part of the gearbox that holds the diff in :p

7696687
C514.5.13

bell housing (which is actualy the other half of the diff casing)

7769893
C514.5.13.19

the next two are from gearbox parts which i doubt matter in our case.

Gearbox:
7771533
2896 B 03
C101

Top of g-box (holds gear shift forks)
7780656
R2910-D-03
C101-2

I would look for numbers on the diff itself but there is no point :p

*edit* - noticed no numbers on the diff other then 15/58 2 which i guess is the ratio.
been looking on eper and it seems all cento diffs are bonded. all sei are bolted (so maybe the late centos are bolted)

If you don't know what you're doing, this is best left to someone who does. it's not a long job, but does require a little knowledge of how these things work.

Sorry I can't be of more help than that.

On the flip side of that I rarely have a clue what I'm doing - I'm just keen to learn :D

I will be roping in my mate who is a mechanic to help with this job, have done most of the other stuff to my car myself though.

I can assure you its easy! If there is enough play in the drive shafts i bet you could do it in about an hour. but i think you will need to loosen one of the struts to remove the diff.

Even though you are checking on E-per, it would appear to me that you have a punto 'box there. The part number I have for the punto bellhousing matches the number you have??
