Ok. for those of you that have managed this yoursleves (there must be others who wern't daunted by the task) I've done the fronts and managed the rears too. But I've been looking long and hard at that rear door.

I appreciate now more than ever, the beautiful curved lines of our beloved bravo, but God almighty that rear screen's guna take some doing. I'd hoped to do it in two halves, but now I figure it's prob guna need at least three seperate strips to accomodate that amount of curvature.

My plan is to use the heating elements to cover the seams, but these are only half a mil wide so to get the templates spot on, might even have to take the door off the get them that precise!

After having done the sides and re-sprayed the parcel shelf and door surround from awful light grey to black, I'm loosing the will to attempt the boot tint cos the interior looks pretty dark already now.

I need encouragement to see it through, from any of you that have accomplished this mammoth feat!

I watched the professional do mine.... he heated it and smoothed it ALOT.... it probably took him twice as long as the others, but he did do in with a single piece!

This is where it pays to pay someone :) They know how to heat shrink the film!

The company that did mine, had to do it in two...

He did not want to risk messing it up with one strip and it still took him ages...

My marea weekend rear screen took three separate section.
Pay someone to do it...

Well thanks for all the encouragement guys...I think!

I know I can do it, but it could take all day!
You'd been curious how I managed the rear quarters Tom.
Since the glue is supposed to take days, figured gettin a hair dryer on it might help dry it out. Didn't occur to me til after about the added shrinkage factor and how this had helped.
It's settled then (if the winds don't favor me going paragliding tomorrow) I tackle this instead. Wish me luck!

What film did you use? I used the foliatec reflective stuff and heating it killed the glue. :(

Fao Tom

Hi Tom

Been using 'Defender' film.

figure fortune favors the bold, so after previous post suggested a pro did it in one, I'm guna attempt it in one too.

Oh, and remarks appreciated about choice of hose material (a wealth of knowledge as always :) )
