Hi

I've had a 52 reg punto for a few years and just use it for the commute to work. Without giving it the kiss of death its been problem free in all that time.

Over the last few mornings i've noticed that it really struggles to crank over the engine first thing in the morning at the first attempt

If i switch the ignition back to off, then half turn again to get the dash lights back on it makes a slight clicking noise like the something electronic is resetting?? The time clock on the dash goes back to 00:00 and then on a full turn it fires up no probs?

No warning lights on dash and when it does fire second time the battery seems quite strong (not like its struggling again?)

Hoping its just struggling with the cold and nothing more to worry about.

It doesn't do it every time?

Anyone had anything similar?

Thanks in advance for any responses

cheers

Rich

Id go for the battery too,all this cold weather starts to show when theyre going weak.
ive just put a new one on my Doblo, had it off ebay, rapid delivery and cheap for Lucas.
if you want me to look it up for you i will, its a proppa battery company as well as a seller on ebay.think his website was battery4u.co.uk if i remember right.

Regards

Richie

Cheers will have a look on that website

I thought it might be something as simple as the battery, but when I've had battery trouble on old cars it's really struggled, once it's failed it's fine?

yeah, you can guarentee it'll happen christmas day!!! (n)

I'll get it checked out and replaced

cheers
