General Punto Sport

I'm looking to buy a certain 2004 Fiat Punto Sport.

I found one but the add states that the engine cut out and didn't turn back on but turns over. The add doesn't specify one what it is.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Other than being broken, no.

You’re basically asking people to diagnose a car you don’t own and have not seen based on the description from a for sale ad.

If you are genuinely interesting and you are handy with tools then go take a look.

If you are not handy with tools and don’t know what you’re doing under the bonnet then walk away because a garage could cost a fortune chasing an unknown fault or if it’s something like catastrophic engine damage then you’ll either need a new engine which will be hard to come by for a sporting of that age, or you’ll need to spend a fortune on an engine rebuild.

Oh and not to mention cars of that era are now comprised mainly from iron oxide, and contain very little steel in critical areas these days
