Technical Punto Problem

Good Morning

i currently own a Fiat Punto 1.2 8v 54 Plate

the brake pedal and gas pedal have just start to become alot harder and they keep going from hard to soft

there a bit tempermental, and im just wondering what is causing this

Have you tried the simple things like bleeding the brakes 1st to see if that sorts it?

the front brake pads have just been changed like a month ago

i dont know much about installing new pads so i got someone else to do it

could the servo be on its way out?
like when the engine is off the pedal is hard.. then when engine is on pedal goes soft when the servo comes to play

when the engine is off, you can press down the brake pedal, but it goes hard once you repeatedly pump it, as most do

the car is getting a major service next month as the mot runs out

its starting to get worse today and it tends to be more hard now, and it isnt exactly ideal when you try and brake and you dont get alot of response straight away, due to the hardness of it, you need to give it a fair old push down

what im saying is the servo may have gone causing the brake to come hard...

if thats not the problem im guessing you have air in your brakes.. would need to bleed the whole system through to get it out

im going to leave it until next week as they will be rebleeding the brakes & renewing brake fluid

if i still get the problem once its all serviced, then i shall go back to the drawing board
