punto MK2 key advice

Can anyone shed alittle light on this for me.
i have the normal blue key but my fob button has worn off, i can set the alarm no problem using my nails.

But i want a new button, can i buy a key off ebay and replace the housing?

Hi mate,

Yea shouldn't be a problem as long as you strip out all the old electronics in the key and transfer them all over to the new shell.

yes i did this, got ebay key and just swapped the blue cover an button
