Hey Guy,s
Just joined here after reading about Fiat modding!
I have got a Mk1 Punto and am just using the standard stereo that came with it, i.e. 4 speaker one found in SX.
However the 2 front speakers rattle, they dont distort as such, they just rattle when there is a bass load on them. They still rattle even when the sound is faded right to the back, and they still do it when the bass is turned to the lowest setting.
Could this be a loose connection or are the speakers just knackered?
I am unsure as to what to do at the moment as I am looking to buy a CD HU and maybe some 6x9's in the back. I dont need anything huge so I was thinking of just using the existing front speakers as a mid/tweeter. It's better than not using them at all and having the soundstage all the way in the back.
Would it be worth buying some replacement original speakers and see if they work, or is there a way to fit some after market speakers into the original mountings?
Look forward to hearing your views,
Cheers!
P.S. sorry for the long winded post
