Technical Punto MK1 CD Player installation advice...

I have a 95 punto and it has no stereo, just lots of wires. Can I fit any CD player in or does it need to be a specific one as it's an old model?
Also some CD players come with iso adaptor but all i have is loose wires in the car so what would I need to enable me to fit a new Cd player with adaptor to the loose wires? Or would I need to buy a CD player that has no adaptor?
I haven't a clue where to start so any info's appreciated!

as long as you vae the wires on back of stereo just wire them straight to the wires in car, just make sure they are well taped up to avoid any shorts
