hey guys,

I've been trying to find out the answer to my questions for a while, no luck!

I've got a 2002 punto active: and love everything except the lack of acceleration: anyway, i'm now concentrating on the ICE and stuff.
I'm putting a sony headunit in (CDX F7750) with the 'connects2' ipod adapter. I know you can i theory control the Ipod from the headunit with this, but it's a pain to use to say the least, so here goes my questions.

-How do i get my ipod adapter wire down to the drinks holders (where ipod will be) AND, where do i hide the little interface box? theres a real lack of space behind the HU.

-Can someone talk me throught the ISO wire thing to make my HU turn off when the ignition is off? i'm just worried bacause the HU powers the Ipod, and i don't want the drain the battery with an ipod, plus its really anoying when it doesn't turn off!

Cheers

Dom

Hi Dom

Best thing for you to do is play around with the wires and try to get them down to the cup holders. Maybe take the ashtray out to help a bit?? Also taking the glove box out might make it easier to find a place for the I-Pod adaptor.

To turn the HU off with the ignition you need to swap the red and yellow wires round on the Sony ISO wire. I dont know exactly what plugs into what, but you will see the spare plugs and sockets you can try.

2002 should be mk2 shouldnt it, I think so anyway, the whole centre console comes out really easy actually, and its really easy to drop the wires down behind the air vents etc when this is off, then there should be space under/behind the cup holders for the wee box if that would help.
