Technical punto gt turbo

can anybody help me, i have got a 1998 fiat punto gt, when i bring in the boost there is a whistle/ wind? i took the car 2 my local gararge and they didnt no what it is?

Have you checked all the boost pipes from turbo to intercooler and from intercooler to inlet? Check them for splits/holes. Have you noticed a drop in boost at all?

Are you sure its a wind noise and not a whine from the turbo? As that could indicate other things.

that whisle sound is hopfully just a crack or split in the intercooler pipes , but it may be the SQUEEL OF DEATH , it could be only sayin could! be you blades inside the turbo rubbing against the turbo itself ,meaning worn bearings or bent shaft that the blades fit onto , i had this happen to me when i belted my downpipe on a speed hump it damaged the turbo , i replied to your pm aswell m8 , keep us posted about the outcome
