Hello,

I have had a wee incident in my Punto Mk1 involving an emergency stop and a pothole.
The result Ive damaged the Front SubFrame and the Nearside wheel now sits back about 4 inches in its wheel arch :bang:

At the moment I have the car up on axle stands about to start the repair,
Can anyone suggest the best/easiest way to start going about removing wishbones, gearbox mounts and exhaust so that i dont spend hours lying under this car in the freezing cold

Any suggestions are welcome, Thanks, Kyle....

Even though the subframe is bolted in tight
Not that tight that it can be moved still in such incidents

The rear axle can do the same - pot holes or a side shunt can make the mounts move so you can knock it back

What makes you think the actual subframe is dead tho? What evidence do you have?

A wheel been knocked back could be a broken wishbone, or even ball joint

And Pot hole = goverment pays - NOT YOU

Ziggy

There is a break in the subframe large enough to pass your hand clean through it so its pretty dead.

This is something I want to do myself lads it happened a wee while ago and I have a bit of spare time so!
Ziggy I never pictured the whole incident so I doubt the council will accept the damages

Thanks guys
