Technical punto exhaust fitment

hi i have a 1998 1.2 punto 60 8 valve, i need a new mid and rear section on the exhaust, i have found a bargain complete system but its from a 1998 1.2 16 valve punto, will this fit the 8valve ok or not any help would be great

Never tried it, but I doubt it without a fair bit of cutting and welding.

Mk1 Puntos vary a lot in exhaust bore, curve for the rear bumper, etc. from model to model.

They're not a lot of money new -- try CES?

All the Mk1s apart from the 1.6 and the GT are the same from the cat back. So the 55,60,75 and 16v are all the same. Aftermarket ones are different at the backbox though.

I know for a fact that the P55 and P75 are different. If you think about it, there's no way on earth that a 1108 8v engine requires the same exhaust bore as a 1.2 16v.
