as you may have read in my other thread ive jjust done a headgasket on my sisters r reg punto 75sx but it wont rev properly it is quite slow through the rev range now ive timed it up again according to the haynes manual and it does feel a little better its still not 100% is there any other way i can tell its timed proper ie if i look at the camshaftwhere should the lobes be

if your head gasket was breifly blowing thru, it would rev very easily then, and now you have all your compression back it will try and avoid be revved, e.g on gearshifts the revs will drop back to idle quicker than you can change gear.
