Right guys, need a bit of help here, I got a p75 of Ben got it all fitted, running the p75 ecu, on the spi loom, loom Is spliced for the injectors,
Timing is 99% correct, well same place as my spi was timed up to,
What could be causing the car to be so slow,,, I mean I think a 899 cento could keep I'm front of me...

Mods I've got are 40 mm tb
Bmc cda air filter
Larger plenum chamber
4-2-1 S's mani
De cat
Janspeeed cat back

How many miles have you done? Any MIL messages?

I would start with:

- resetting the fuel autolearning parameters, IAW Scan 2 can do that if you have the right cables

- unplugging the lambda sensor and seeing if it helps

This is assuming everything is sound mechanically...

ive done 400+ miles
iaw scan ? ive got startek punto ( think its called that ) its got no injector light flashing or solid on

its the same lambda sensor i used when i had the spi set up , Silly guestion here , do the p75 have two lambdas , and will it matter that im only running one due to my spi loom
hfturbo ,,, how slow is yours and have you had any of these problems ?

#because8v :p

Ive heard buying a det3 and smashing 1.5bar of boost down its throat seems to make them a little more smile friendly. :p ;)

another thing... does the p75 use all the same sensors?? coolant temp..?? did they run a knock sensor??

The head has had 3 angle seats and a back cut on the valves aswell as a 1mm skim, it has less than 30k miles on it so it should fly (n)

Might be worth checking the timing once again dude... as It did go well (for an 8v) in bens car...

No knock sensor (although there might be the lug).
No knock sensor specific hole on the MK1 blocks although there is one further down, albeit not in the right place.

It did go well in my car so again I would suggest the timing. Although you could always try swapping the fuel rail over for the one I sent you?

Why are you still using the spi loom now you have the P75 ecu, you have the P75 loom you bought from me? I'm pretty sure all the sensors are the same between spi + P75, all the old stuff unlike later MPI and 16v.

Engine control in terms of sensors and wiring is identical in P75 and SPI engines, with the exception of the four vs. one injector. So there is no reason not to use the SPI loom. I use it, and it is really butchered too to account for the multiplicity of my experiments and ECU extensions, works without a glitch from day one. But! A really good idea is to disconnect PIN 26 going to the ECU, this is the one place where the P75 loom would already have it disconnected and might be worth using if one is too lazy to take the SPI loom apart a bit to disable one connection.

Having said that, there was a version of the P75 engine in later models in some countries that was controlled with the IAW 49F ECU. This one has sequential injection, although without the cam sensor, and I think it also has knock sensor and control, but I would have to check that to be sure. Also not sure where the knock sensor would be mounted in this case, as indeed there is no bung in the right place on the mk1 engine. I even have some modded files for this ECU, but haven't got enough time to look into them.

mines pretty quick mate, it only slows down after 90 but i'm pretty sure thats down to the 6 speed box. 16vs only just creep away

im using the injectors off your rail you sent me @Cento186 , checked timing today and it was spot on ,,

still using the spi loom as ive been using it as a daily and dont want to take the loom off , to change over , and if somethign pops up ill be car less :p ,,, ill change looms tomoz

whats up with the stilo???

I had a similar issue when I fitted my 75 into my old cinq, but it was due to it having bigger injectors (Ford 1400 Zectec) in and massively over fueling, threw the stock ones back in and it ran amazingly well.

are you sure the pressure reg on the fuel rail is working... have you get a vacuum line to it?? If you got another rail try that with the known working injectors from ben.

Swapping looms isn't where i would start tbh, remember the ecu is on other side in a punto and you will have to extend some wires to have it all sit where it sits in a cinq, and you end up with a load of wires longer than they need to be.

You've deffo done something wrong J, mine flew even with the low compression pistons and no turbo. :p

I'd go with with the common opinion here, not enough juice getting to the sparky bits. :)

Other problem I had which caused it to run like a dog before I connected the DET and saw it with real time monitoring was a squiffy crank sensor that kept losing sync. This would show up on any fault code reader though I'm sure.
