I am currently nearing the end of my punto 75 engine conversion into my cinq and cant get the bloody thing started!
I thought I would ask a few questions on the punto forum before I break out the oscilloscope and multimeter again as somebody here will probably know Im sure.

As it stands I have used the punto 75 efi loom and mated it to the cinq loom using wiring diagrams and some assistance from the cinq forum.I am using the punto 75 fuel pump and ecu with the chips (a red and a blue) from the original punto keys.I drove the punto some months ago and it all worked perfectly!

When you turn on the ignition the 'code' light comes on and there is a small delay, then you hear the fuel pump prime and the injector light comes on.
When you crank the engine, the code light goes off but the injector light stays on.When you stop cranking, the code light then comes back on!!
I defo have no spark as I quickly tried with a spare good ht lead and plug and it appears im getting a signal from the crank sensor(have used 2 diff ones just to make sure).
I have one blue wire left on the punto loom which I think might be for the speed signal??

I havent yet checked the injectors are operating but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on what i seem to be missing!!!...

Are you using the punto code box too?

Cheers

SPD

I tried that literally 5 mins ago as it was dead easy for me to quickly do but its still the same!!:bang::bang::bang:

I may be missing something with my wiring but didnt want to overcomplicate the thread with which wires have been connected where!(unless someone thinks it might help to diagnose the problem!!...)

OK.
Running through some checks and there is a grey(green) wire coming from the punto efi side that shows 10v when the ign is switched on and then stays 10v when the ignition is turned off.Its on a twin wire plug with a black wire also and have found it dangling at the back of the engine not connected to anything!!It is the same type of plug that goes into the charcoal cannister!
Checking the cinq key reader under the dash, there is a grey(green) wire that goes live with the ignition but i cant find any reference to that colour wire in the punto/cinq book that I have!
I am properly stuck now though and could really do with some advice if anyone can help........................please.........................
