Technical punto 1.2 8v intermitent mis fire

Hi there.
I drove my car through a flood a while back and managed to get home with not problems. I then went out in the evening and half the way through my journey, my eml light came on and the vehicle was mis firing. Also there was not much power. Like it was running on 2 cylinders. Anyway got home and cleaned out the throttle body. The car ran fine for a couple of weeks. But it has now started again, usually when I start the engine warm (after a long journey) but if I carry on driving the car then picks up the power and my car is fine. Don't want it to stay likethis permanently.
Any help will be appreciated

I think it is something to do with the ignition system. Full service a couple of months ago so don't really want to change spark plugs or oil again

Check the ignition leads. Pull off as much of the air filter housing as you can (you want to see the HT leads), at night, start the car up, look under the bonnet. If you see blue flashes, you need new ignition leads.

Im on the HT leads as well potentially - often missed

But this is why you have to drive slowly throught puddles - i learned the hardway a couple of times
