Does anybody happen to have a new friction plate and a pair of verniers that could measure the overall thickness of the friction plate please

Thanks

Don't have a new friction plate to measure, what is the problem?
Normally a new or good friction plate is well clear of the rivets holding the friction material that is the main concern, if clutch isn't disengaging it is often if centre plate the wrong way around.
The thickness of the friction plate can depend on the manufacturer and type of material etc.

It's not going into a skoda, it's for an 850t.
I'm just using the 5 speed transaxle for the conversion as the 850 box turns the wrong way for the fire engine.

Sounds interesting.
I fitted a Sofim 2.8 Ducato diesel engine in place of a V6 150hp Volvo Penta engine on a Volvo Sterndrive some years ago , making the adaptor plate was a pain, but it ran well once done, after I took out all the ballast as the Sofim four cylinder was heavier than the 3.75litre V6 with cast iron manifolds.:)

The engine and box are already together, I bought the box with an adaptor plate though it needed a little modification to fit.
Vehicle mounts and cross members are done so I'm really just working my way through some of the finer details.

Sounds good, helps if the adaptor plate side is done.
In the 1980s I bought an adaptor for a Series 2A LandRover and fitted a York Transit diesel engine against all advice, but it proved good, once I had timed up the injection pump using a spill port method and my childrens plastic school protractor on crank pulley.;)
