Technical Pump in the tank

Hello all,

I have a question, do you know if is possible that the pump in the tank is working although the engine isn´t start up but the key is in position 1? Do you know the layout of Ducato system? Do you know, how wokrs the electronic unit?

easiest way is to disconnect the feed to fuel filter & turn ignition on for 2-3 seconds, fuel should come out. This does not indicate the correct pressure however.
