PS2 In Dash - Thanks Tommy K

[Lozz]

Well i've taken my time posting this one, this will be my second mod this evening so i'm treating you all...

The situation:

The Night before Gaydon

Lozz: Tom you've got your wheels and your siren, now i need something new for gaydon

Tom:....ok

Lozz: Well its 8pm so we better do something quick and simple

Tom: yeah ok then

Lozz: Ahhh i remeber i have a passenger airbag cover that we could use to do my recess!! oh and my CD player isnt working at the mo, so we could put the PS2 in there!!
(Tom didnt know what he'd let himself in for)

4 hours later and lots of swearing and cups of hot chocolate here is the finished product

We were gonna put the ps2 back in the boot where it was b4... so we striped out his old boot install... re prosisioned everything.. looked at it.. pondered and put it all back in the way it was!

Made a new cover over the amp, wiring and power cap to mount the PS2 on... Made it look far to nice... so we were PS2 less once more.

Lozz is now really upset cos it looks great, but going out and hoping there's summit really great on the radio is a serious gamble... unless u've got music tastes like me.. which every1 would love the day my CD Laser packs up!!


Anyways... its 8pm sat evening, after being up really early anyways Lozz announces.. I think we could put the PS2 in the dash... I have this we can use.. drags out an air bag cover.


Errmmm... errmmm don't u think its a littel late to be starting summit majour like this??? i replyed....


Arrr no lozz gleefully replys as he's already pulling 1/2 the dash to bits!!!


You lot have no idea wot work went into fitting that PS2!!! The wiring was a nightmare too.. esp as it was all set up for IN THE BOOT!!!!

I do like where i've put the 12v Invertor tho

bahney that makes no sence. if its in properly then the nuggets aint gonna get **** for ur car. im gonna fibreglass my screen it and clip and bolt it in too. only way ull get it out is it u brake the thing.

it is good work tho tommy k and lozz. shame i cant do stuff like that cos of stupid airbag

Smee it doesent matter if it is fibreglassed in or not and how secure it is, if they can see it and think they stand a chance of getting then your window is gone and your dash is ripped apart, from the cost of the replacement window and the damage to your dash is it worth it?

my sister had her car broken into because there was £2 on the dash and a packet of fag's

they are low life skum with no fear of being caught because they have no risk of ever being convicted, if you put a screen or ps2 in your dash and leave it on display for all to see then someone will have the bright idea of ripping it out without your permission.
