just noticed the passenger door of my panda has been forced and someones tried to break in, theres a large dent in the door around the key, and when pushed the door moves slightly in. lock is intact but im worried they will come back and try again.
i think im going to jack it up tonight and take the front wheels off, so it cant be stolen, reckon thats a good idea?
what measures can i take to protect it! im pretty gutted about the door, it was a good door :(

Fit a motion sensor alarm. If the thieving scum really want it they will get it regardless, but opportunist Chavs will most likely run away when a siren starts wailing.

Sorry to hear yours was damaged. Do you live near Custard?!!!! It's a sad state of affairs when so many cherished cars are being broken into :(

Unfortunately a Panda is easy pickings for a car thief. Can you get it off the road to safety? I'd be worried about them pushing it off the jack, so that would deter me from jacking it and removing the wheels. Maybe remove part of the ignition system, distributor cap for example so it can't be started. Remove anything of value, including the stereo and speakers and leave nothing on display. Bastards. :(

its got nothing in it, not even fitted with a stereo.
ive put it behind my flat and taken one wheel off and stood it on an axel stand and stuffed the wheel by the pedals. dont reckon anyone will bother because it looks like its broken or something.
i live in manchester, and this area is quite bad, had my motorbike nicked a while back, even though it was a silly Honda 100!
im going to get a steering locking arm thing i think, cheers for the words. its just very bored people with nothing better to do innit.

Honda H100's aren't silly  I had one as my first motorbike! A 1981 Honda H100A that took me everywhere. Great little bike (y)

Hope you keep the thieving scum away from your Panda. We should set up a FF renegade to keep all the tea leaves away from our Fiats...

hopefully you don't come back to find the axel stand gone replaced by bricks...

H100... my first bike also... I thought it was a little delicate... and squirmed like an oiled pig. seized the barrel on it... bought a 4 stroke... which dropped one of the cylinder bearings into the gearbox. pushed it from Heywood to Bury

i still have a honda H100 S :) just passed mot and now stuck due to unknown engine problems :( nippy little 2 stroke and Was reliable. good starter bikes :D love em

I bought mine at 12K miles (in 1986) and doubled that in two years. Quite nippy for a 100cc, and other than seizing it once (my fault, pressure washed it and dislodged the oil feed pipe to the carburetor so it was starved of oil  ) I never had a problem with it.

I was so sentimental about it I went and bought another a few years ago, same model year (1981) but it's sat in my shed ever since :(

Still quite a few around considering how old they are (y)

bloody hell, sounds as if H100's are panda owners favourite tiny motorbike!
they are so good, mine didnt do much above 50mph. i remember trundling over the pennines on it last summer, happy days. i even took it on the motorway with my mate on the back - scariest mile of my life.
its stuck in your shed!!!? not thinking of parting with it are you?
now im 21 i could actually pass a big bike test and get something more powerful, but fear i'd be dead in a week :D

Don't leave it on an axle stand!!!!!!!!!
If you make your car look abandoned or make it stand out like that - it will only attract more Chav scumbag attention!!!!!!!!!
If you're not using it - get it moved!!!!!!!!

My area isn't great but if you've got a highly visible anti theft device they tend to leave it alone (or at least they won't try to steal it, but it won't stop vandalism). If you don't have something highly visible on it then during July to the end of August expect to find either your car missing or the tell tale screw driver marks.

I've got a steering lock on mine called the 'Billy Bat' it costs a £5 (Wilkinson's), highly visible and your everyday chav won't be able to remove it. It also rather conveniently doubles up as a baseball bat (foam grip and everything) as well so you've got something to hit them with if you catch them at it (just try not to get blood on the foam grip, it's a nightmare to remove it... don't ask...).

Mine (a 1981 H100A model) would do 60mph all day long, though I did weigh just over 9 stone when I had it. Was hard to make it go any faster, though on a long down hill stretch I managed to get it up to 70mph once!

They are tough little bikes. Not as fast as the Suzuki GP100, Kawasaka KH100 or Yamaha RXS100, but they lasted a lot longer. I loved mine and always regretted selling it though it did help fund my next bike - a Kawasaki GPz550 :D

And they weren't much fun two up! Took my sister for a spin on the A41 once, and it felt like I was doing a wheelie all the time. That was with my sister being even lighter than I was!

I'm kind of in two minds whether to sell it or not. I'd love to get it on the road and re-live my youth, but with University approaching I'm not sure if I could afford to. But I'll have to see when I get back home what I'll finally do with it ;)
