hi guys

i woke up to a nasty surprise this morning, some t**ts have vandalised my poor little cinq . they got the old engine block and turned it onto the piston face then proceeded to put it on top of my car after that they went on to slash 2 of my nearly new tyres then ripped the rear bumper off and destroyed the mountings in the bumper and on the car. it appears my new neighbours and there p****d mates took a dislike to it, its beyond me why anyone would do something like that for no reason at all :tosser: :shrug:

it was definately them, they were all out back where the car was parked at 2.30 this morning and ive lived here for 8 years and i know all my neighbours quite well now so im pretty certain who it was

Seriously though - that's really crappy news - I really feel for ya, I went mental when some kids knocked the wing mirrors off mine and my housemates cars... funnily enough (touch wood) there's been little trouble from them since

thanks for the kind post, ive considered that but i do think it would be obvious if i did it and id land myself in trouble :bang: . Its just frustrating because of all the hard effort that has gone in to this car (engine swap most importantly) and for someone to ruin it in 5 minutes stupidity is heartbreaking

I feel really terrible after reading that mate. Honestly, you have my deepest sympathy. If someone did that to my car I would go mental, I would smash up everything they own.

i'm from the stilo side as you can tell,but i had to say how sorry to hear whats happened to you. it makes me so angry to why anyone would do such a thing just for a joke and a laugh.......so hold your head up high and in 6-12 months time i'd get them back one by one.......anyway hope you can fix your car........

Sorry to hear that mate, at least they didnt break the sunroof but as suggested do something even if you go to the cops and tell them you suspect it was the new neighbours.

yeah i wish they could however without proof they cant do very much :bang:. i suppose one lucky thing about it was, remember i told you it felt loose? i took the punctured wheel off and id forgotten to tighten the 2 pinch bolts up on the suspension!!! . the other thing ive found is its getting better and better at starting , I wonder if it was/is a fuel problem?. Im hoping to drive it tomorrow so i can test it.

Part worn tyres, 10 quid each

If i had my old blue cinq, i would of given u all the stuff u need!!!

i whacked the roof with my hand and it popped straight back out so thats not too bad but the paint is well scratched (down to bare metal in places). ive had a new tyre put on today (15 quid so pretty reasonable)and ive had to run the spare for now. Thank you for the thought atm i wish you did still have your old one . Im not giving up on the cinq because 1. ive done so much to it and 2. i love that little car (my rover 416 is on ebay as we speak) and now im more determined than ever to finish it :slayer:
