probs with wiring

hello everyone,

i have a prob with the front speaker wiring on my fiat bravo 80. i have removed the standard crappy speakers and am trying to fit my new sony 13cms. I have the speaker fitting adapter but do not know how to wire the speakers into the yellow plastic adapter in the door. I was advised to cust the wires and join them together.how would i do this or is there an adapter i can use? apologies to anyone who has read this in the bravo.org.uk forum.

i assume the little yellow adapters are the original adpaters that fitted to the factory standard speakers.

If so these can be cut, so u are left with 2 wires, 1 positive and 1 negative, u strip these wires back a little and use some speaker connectors to attach the wires to the speakers.

the cables mat be labelled + and - or maybe there are red/black, im not sure on that though

If you want to work out which is the postive and which is the negative, just connect the ends of the speaker wire to a AA battery

The speaker will 'pop' when youve got it the right way around
